Segovia

My parents and I took a train from Madrid to Segovia for the day. When we arrived in Segovia it was absolutely freezing. We clearly didn't check the weather. The most impressive thing about Segovia was the aqueduct. It is amazing to think about how much time and effort it took to create, especially way back when. I cannot believe it is still standing today. It is definitely an amazing piece of architecture. We walked to the Alcazar of Segovia, which was originally built as a palace. Eventually it was turned into a prison and finally became a military academy. Quite a lot of purposes for one castle. It was one of the castles that inspired Walt Disney for Cinderella's castle. After walking around Segovia for the day, we headed back to Madrid for the night.
